Build in Survival

Supply real materials, clear the site and let the server build your schematic in groups.

Press V with a preview loaded and open Materials. It shows Needed / Available / Fulfilled / Missing counts. The All / Missing filter button switches between the full list and missing items; Copy missing copies shortages. Already matching world blocks count as fulfilled.

All remaining materials must be available before starting. Clear solid obstructions. The Problems tab explains saved-data, cost and placement issues that need attention.

Mode Supply
Containers Eligible containers near the transformed schematic.
Inventory The player’s eligible inventory slots.
All sources Containers first, then the player inventory.

Containers must be within 10 blocks of the transformed schematic’s edges, including vertically. Use Protect slots to protect inventory slots. On the Containers tab, exclude individual containers or change their extraction faces. Armor, offhand, inaccessible stores, unopened loot containers and containers the build would replace are excluded.

Select Swap blocks to choose substitutions. Compatible block properties are preserved. A mapping applies once to the original schematic, so replacement mappings do not chain through each other. The source file is never rewritten.

For unresolved saved data, choose supported preserved configuration, fresh default settings or manual placement. If preserving it needs a rule, an operator can use Problems → Add rule. Learn how to review the suggested fields.

The builder consumes exact items, including decorated banners, heads and displayed or equipped items. Doors and beds are grouped; partial stacks, sign finishing and water buckets have appropriate grouped costs and remainders.

New machines and storage start without copied inventories, fluids or energy. Already matching storage keeps its existing contents. Empty chiseled bookshelves also clear their occupied-slot appearance and comparator memory.

Use Build options to select a rate from 1 to 200 groups per game second, subject to server limits and journal/storage work. Sound and particles are optional. Open the Survival build screen when ready to start.

  • Pause keeps progress. A manual pause stays paused.
  • Cancel keeps completed blocks and returns unused held inputs where possible. Any remainder that cannot be returned stays recorded as owed.
  • Resume or Cancel checks return space again, including new containers added after a restart.
  • Moving the preview does not redirect a started job.

Walking away does not pause construction. Required chunks unloading pauses running work without force-loading them; it resumes when those chunks become available. Container-only work may continue while the owner is offline when the native permission and provider rules allow it. Offline player inventories are never edited.

Living mobs appear in a separate Manual work checklist. They never block completion or cost automatic materials. Supported decorations and vehicles build automatically.

Paused and recent completed jobs retain their owner-scoped checklist across restarts. Use Previous/Next build to browse completed jobs. Personal checklist checkmarks last for the current screen.

Simple Schematics 0.2.0 includes a Schematic Printer for paid container-fed jobs and repeat building. The older 0.1.0 release does not include the printer.
